1994	Glucometer Elite^® Diabetes Care System first capillary draw biosensor for blood glucose monitoring
1997	MICROLET VACULANCE^® Automatic Lancing Device first lancing device designed to enhance sample acquisition from body sites other than the fingertips
	Glucometer^® DEX^® Diabetes Care System first reagent cartridge system for self-blood glucose monitoring
Building on consumer demand for a reagent cartridge system, in 2003 the Ascensia^® BREEZE^® System and the 10-in-one Ascensia^® AUTODISC^® Test Strip Disc were launched
2003	Ascensia^® CONTOUR^® Blood Glucose Monitoring System first single-strip system that does not require coding and automatically corrects for many other common variables that affect accuracy
2006	Ascensia^® BREEZE^® first meter to be awarded the Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation^®
